We are very excited about the conference program. There are many enhancements reflecting the incredible work of ACRM members as we celebrate one hundred years of improving lives and supporting the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our centennial conference is the one you will not want to miss!
As the COVID pandemic recedes in many parts of the world, including the United States, we are optimistic that conference registrations will surge for our 100th anniversary meeting. The CORE conference will take place at the Atlanta Hilton 30 October – 2 November 2023, preceded by two full days of PRE-CONFERENCE courses 28 – 30 October.
I encourage you to join me and rehabilitation professionals and community members from around the globe in the diverse and exciting city of Atlanta for #ACRM2023, the world’s largest interdisciplinary rehabilitation research event.
There’s something extraordinary about meeting in-person, face-to-face. Great minds coming together in one space fuels creative energy, promotes innovation and sparks collaboration — the kind of collaboration needed to help bring the latest science into practice — faster.
ACRM’s inclusivity has always been all about the research and the mix of disciplines and professions. This blend is exclusive to ACRM and is one of the critical ways that — all together — our work improves lives of those with disabling conditions through interdisciplinary research.
To improve patient care, we need the science from the researchers. To inform and improve the research, we need feedback from the clinicians. ACRM is at the intersection of this essential feedback loop, and this is where you come in. YOU are needed to join the discussions and collaborations — to help move the field forward.
Your expertise is very important. With 150+ inter-professional groups at ACRM, including community groups, committees and task forces, we know there are ample opportunities for networking and collaborating to achieve your goals.

ACRM received valuable feedback from prior attendees and presenters and has made changes to improve the conference, including exciting enhancements to the organization of the schedule, the flow and events to come.

ACRM would not be the organization it is without its members. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to represent the community in this leadership position. I am honored and grateful for the memories gained during my time as president as I round out my tenure. As I pass the presidential necklace to the incoming president, Stephanie A. Kolakowsky-Hayner, PhD, CBIST, FACRM, at the conclusion of this year’s Annual Conference, I join previous past presidents in watching ACRM continue to grow and develop while supporting the hardworking members who are the foundation of this organization. I would like to reiterate my immense appreciation for the connections, collaborations, and community that ACRM has provided me with during my presidency.
