Session Evaluations & Continuing Education Certificates

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

Credit is only given to attendees who:

1) register for the event; 

2) attend the educational sessions; 

3) evaluate each session attended, 

4) take the post-test for each session, and 

5) complete the overall conference evaluation. 

6) At the end of the evaluation, you will be able to claim your credit and print your certificate.

*After* you complete all of the steps above, then will be able to download your certificate. 

Credit must be claimed within 30 days of the activity closing date.

ACRM Educational Conference session evaluations are completed through the conference website. Once you are registered, click on the CME/CEU link in the left column menu to go to your task page. After you have completed all your tasks you will be able to download the certificate of your choice.

Statement of Need and Target Audience

Inter-professional exchange, interaction, and cooperation are the cornerstones of optimal patient care. Educational opportunities that promote inter-professional learning and collaboration are needed to advance clinical and scientific research and its subsequent translation to clinical practice.

The ACRM 102nd Annual Fall Conference & EXPO, Progress in Rehabilitation Research, provides that opportunity by bringing together both researchers and clinicians working in the various fields of rehabilitation medicine, including:

  1. Discuss current and future research in rehabilitation medicine.

  2. Discuss recent research findings and their potential impact on the clinical care of rehabilitation patients.

  3. Apply evidence-based knowledge and skills to enhance patient care.

  4. Identify strengths and weaknesses in evidence-based treatment approaches to rehabilitation medicine.

  5. Cite fundamental issues in ethics, cultural diversity, and evidence-based practices as applied to rehabilitation medicine.

  6. Describe the foundation principles guiding cognitive rehabilitation interventions, as well as procedures for setting goals, planning treatment, and monitoring of treatment progress.

  7. Describe techniques for treating impairments of attention, memory, executive functioning, social communication, and visuospatial and praxis skills.

  8. Identify the importance of clinician and patient-reported outcomes to be used in inpatient rehabilitation.

  9. Define the correlation between clinician-related functional status in the areas of self-care and mobility and patient’s perception of physical and mental health

  10. Apply action observation resources (educational materials and videos) to clinical practice and research
