Here's what Jamilah Alqahtani, 2023 ACRM Annual Fall Conference attendee, says about her experience with the ACRM Conference

“I am Jamilah Alqahtani. I’m an international student here in the US and a nurse practitioner doing my PhD in nursing. This is my first ACRM conference. It’s amazing the organization, how diverse it is, having very different professionals and interdisciplinary work. I was looking for connections, mentors to help me out, to execute my research.
I think I ended up finding much more. I ended up finding great mentors, great opportunities.
I got to see that what I’m doing is important. Trying to humanize rehabilitation — where it actually meets patients, families and caregivers, then translated into a real world impact is just for me, invaluable. That’s just something that I’m very passionate about and it’s amazing”

“I regret that I was not here three years ago, but I am also so happy that I got to see that what I’m doing is important and trying to humanize medicine and humanize rehabilitation sites where it actually meets patients and meets families and meets caregivers and translate it into a real world kind of impact is just for me invaluable. And honestly, I feel more excited about the future and where things could go from here”
